Hi, I’m CHELSEY HIPKENS, ESQ.

I began working in private practice in 2021, specializing in family law and routine traffic law. I joined the Cayuga and Seneca County panels of Attorneys for the Children in 2022 and I consider it one of my greatest honors to represent children in family matters. Prior to that I worked in criminal law. I launched my solo practice in 2023.

I graduated from SUNY Oswego with a bachelor’s degree in history in 2013. Afterwards, went on to receive a post-graduate certificate in Archaeological Excavations from University Cork College in Cork, Ireland, then spent several years pretending to be Indiana Jones before ultimately retiring my hat in favor of going to law school. I graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law and immediately began work as an Assistant District Attorney in Cayuga County.

When I’m not working to assist clients in obtaining the best possible outcome in their matters, I teach as an adjunct professor at Wells College, and am an active member of the Cayuga County Bar Association but also serve the surrounding counties.
